Uxbridge underground station and the shops in the town centre are just an 8 minute walk from the pub minute drive from the pub.
The name of the town is derived from “Wixan’s Bridge”, which was sited near the bottom of Oxford Road where a modern road bridge now stands, just beyond the Crown and Treaty.

The Battle of Britain Bunker in Uxbridge tells the story of the Battle of Britain, one of the most significant events of World War II.
The bunker is located in an underground complex, which served as the underground operations room for the British government during the battle. Inside you can see the original operations tables, maps, and equipment used by the commanders during the battle alongside interactive exhibits, films, and audio guides
The Grand Union Canal in Uxbridge is a beautiful and historic waterway that runs through the heart of the town.

Colne Valley Regional Park is a beautiful area of natural beauty located in the west of London next to Uxbridge. It stretches over 9,000 acres and includes a diverse range of habitats such as meadows, woodlands, wetlands, and rivers. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including rare and endangered species such as the great crested newt and the water vole.
Visitors can enjoy many recreational activities in the park, including walking, cycling, fishing and bird watching plus you can visit historical sites such as the 18th-century waterworks at Denham
